. we got a little taste this week. a hacker got into the twitter account, two explosions at the white house and barack obama injured. that tweet, a fake tweet, was up for just a few minutes before the account was suspended. the market responded in an instant. look at the drop. the dow fell about 145 points or 1%. even though the market bounced right back, it was a scary drop for investors. experts say over the past few months we have seen the number of cyber attacks sky rocket, and the biggest threat, the biggest target, our banks. according to a new verizon report, about 37% of information breaches were aimed at financial organizations. i want to bring in allen pauler, the director of research at the sans institute. we just saw two monday shut down boston for days. that's the visible face of terrorism. the invisible, the countless hits from hackers all over the world every day. how real is this threat of cyberterrorism? >> it is very real. in saudi arabia, cyberterrorists took out 30,000 computers. just destroyed them. it is physical damage being done but the real worry right now is

or by their campaign managers, that -- like, that's not going to change. and president obama can't do that. the one thing that i think maureen makes a good point about, though, it's worth the white house paying attention to this, is that the president should never say i've done everything i can do. because nobody ever has. right? there's always more to do, there's always more to try and you can never be seen as kind of throwing up your hands and saying, well, it's all on them. and i'm done. and i think that that's kind of the -- the one sort of maybe even stylistic mistake that the president made in the press conference or he's making now, is that -- he needs to give people more that they can do, and he needs to keep doing more himself, and the republicans and stephanie is absolutely right, mitch mcconnell bears more of this blame than the president does but we ought to just keep talking about it. we ought to just keep pushing at it, and i think the president can never say it's -- you know, it's up to you guys now. he always has to have some new activity that he and other people can do to keep tryi

? >> well, first of all, we should just say white house press secretary james carney was just asked about these arrests and he referred reporters to the fbi. he was asked if president obama had been briefed and he also would not confirm that but said the president had been continuously briefed on this investigation. just to give a little more -- flush out a little more about these two suspects -- the three suspects who are being charged with obstruction of justice. two of them obviously from kazakhstan, dias kadyrbayev and azamat tazhayakov, i'm sure i'm botching those names, but they're being charged with obstruction of justice because law enforcement officials believe they disposed of fireworks and a laptop at the very least belonging to dzhokhar tsarnaev. one government source tells me that what these students -- and there's a third student, an american student as well, what these students are claiming is that dzhokhar reached out to them and asked them to dispose of these items. they did not know of his involvement in the terrorist attacks. this is what they're claiming. and they did
